Tomorrow: May Chapter Meeting With OCERA

At this month's chapter meeting, we'll hear from representatives from the Oregon Coalition for an Environmental Rights Amendment (OCERA), a statewide grassroots effort dedicated to amending the Oregon Constitution with a fundamental, enforceable right to a healthy environment.  We'll see a presentation on the legal strategy from coalition organizations like Our Children's Trust, and learning’s from how similar enshrined rights and youth-led actions have become an important backstop in securing state-level environmental protections and regulations, such as in Montana's recent climate change lawsuit Held vs. Montana.
