Save The Date: State-Wide Organizing Meeting For The Right To A Healthy Environment

This is a kickoff event for an Oregon Environmental Rights Amendment campaign, which would establish legal cause in the state for, among other things, successful youth-led litigation on extractive industries like we've seen in Montana.

APRIL OPEN ELECTRIC HOUSE

On April 16, 2024 in lieu of our regular general meeting, the Portland chapter of the Climate Reality Project invites you to a very special in-person event. William Musser, CR PDX member and volunteer with Electrify PDX and Rewiring America, is hosting us for a special Electrification Open House. During this early evening event, we will tour Will’s fully electrified NE Portland home while learning about the benefits of electrification, where to start, and how much it will cost after the incentives of the Inflation Reduction Act. Don’t miss this special event—Will has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share!

More details to follow in the next CR PDX newsletter.

Sharing an opportunity to learn more about where our candidates for the US House of Representatives stand on climate:

On April 18, 2024 the Portland Chapter of of Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) Committee is hosting a Congressional climate candidate forum for Oregon District 03 on Thursday, April 18th at 6pm. The event will be held at Taborspace, 5441 SE Belmont St. Portland, OR 97215. Now that Rep. Earl Bluemenauer, a longtime supporter of climate issues, is retiring, this is an opportunity to hear the candidates for his seat answer questions about their commitment to solving climate change and other climate-related issues. This forum will be moderated by KGW. Chief Meteorologist Matt Zaffino. Registration is not required but encouraged.
