TONIGHT:IN PERSON EVENT

Dear Climate Reality PDX members, we’re going to be meeting in-person from 6-8pm on Tuesday June 18th for our last regular chapter meeting before taking this summer off. We’re celebrating with an easy social gathering at the Hi-Top Tavern, located in the Beaumont neighborhood in NE Portland at 5015 NE Fremont St., Portland OR 97213. It is on the #24 Trimet Bus line, and half a mile from the #12 Bus line; there is street parking available. Feel free to RSVP by emailing Climate Reality Portland at [email protected]. Walk-ins are of course welcome the night of the event.

We will be gathering on the patio so look for the CRPDX signs on tables. You are welcome to purchase food and/or drinks at the bar. Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options are available. Please note that we are gathering at 6pm, which is one hour earlier than our usual meeting time.

We will be hearing from committees to learn about their exciting updates and ways to get involved in climate action! We will also be discussing leadership needs, and CRPDX priorities, and what the rest of the year will look like for us. Please bring your ideas and enthusiasm for climate action! And of course, stay to socialize afterwards.

Because the patio is covered, we will meet rain or shine. RSVP’s are encouraged so that we have an idea of attendees and can email attendees as needed.

Look forward to seeing you on 6/18 from 6-8pm at the high-top.

CALL TO ACTION

Quick action for climate policy today!
Portland is considering a common-sense policy to track building pollution, and to provide prospective tenants with key disclosures regarding energy use and health risks. But the gas industry is trying to kill it.
Take action today to ask the City to pass this policy and take a sensible step toward transitioning Portland buildings off of polluting fossil fuels. The public comment period runs through this Friday, June 14. Sample letter here below.
