Chapter Meeting
Join us January 21st from 630-8pm for our chapter meeting. This chapter meeting will include chapter elections and TED talk style short presentations by Chapter Members about their climate work, from a BESS CAD Drafter for utility scale batteries to a community organizer and naturalist ranger! We’ll also have chapter updates and Q&A.

This year is a big year for transportation action in both Portland and Oregon at large. Two upcoming places to take action:

What We Are Listening To:
This episode of VOLTS regarding thermal energy networks presents a path forward which may be a win-win for residents, businesses, and utilities! Thermal energy networks are the next big thing

Volunteer Opportunities:
Invitation to Serve as a Climate Solutions Middle School Fair Volunteer:
Are you concerned about climate change? Do you enjoy working with middle school students? Would you enjoy helping students engage in a hands-on learning experience?
If so, we encourage you to join us as a climate solutions fair volunteer. The Climate Reality Project, Portland Chapter, is part of the coalition supporting the Vision 2030 project, managed by the non-profit, SAGE. We are looking for people who:
Relate easily and enjoy working with middle school students
Are comfortable sharing a short explanation about an exhibit with students who briefly visit several exhibits during the fair (we provide the information you can share)
Can help at one or more of our fairs at local Portland middle schools (half day or full day shifts available)
